NATURE OF AWARDS
The Regional Education Awards were established by the Regional Education Office in the School of Medicine to recognize excellence in teaching, administration, and mentorship in community sites.
The Regional Education Awards are awarded annually to preceptors in the community who teach or mentor Queen’s medical students and residents, or have contributed to the design and/or development of educational material.
The Excellence in Teaching Award was created to recognize community preceptors who have contributed significantly to advancing teaching and learning at the distributed sites.
The nominee will be identified as a role model in supporting, encouraging, and promoting educational, professional and personal development to colleagues and learners.
